I have never experienced the thought of "I don't want to workout today, I did any way, and I wish I didn't." Quite the contrary!
So as I entered the gym today I had 3 clients to train and planned to workout myself after I was finished. However, the gym was 75 degrees (which is terrible), my to do list started playing in my head, and I quickly felt discouraged and unmotivated to do my workout. As I typically do, I put in the ear buds, turned on my music and escaped into the lyrics. Knowing that once I started the workout I would have no trouble finding the push needed to get it done. Before I knew it I had completed my 30 minutes of cardio. Dripping in sweat, hot(gym still hotter than my liking), thirsty, and now HIGHLY motivated!!! I then couldn't wait to hit the strength training part of my routine. As part of my 30 day Squat Challenge today was 150 squats. I decided to do them in increments of 50 reps. First rep done with a bar, second rep I decided to hold the bar overhead, and finished the last 50 with an added 20 lbs. to the bar. Felt SO good.
Now completely glistening with sweat I couldn't stop. Moved on to a little arm work and rounded it out with abs. FAVORITE moment of the workout was feeling streams of sweat rolling down my chin as I held my 3 minute plank. LOVE to SWEAT!
My point?...rarely if never does anyone regret a workout. Keep your goals in mind and trust that once you get going you'll enjoy it and gain great benefits both physically and mentally.
ENJOY:)
